Bridging the Gap in the Foster Care Community

Robin Smith-Salzman

Robin is the Co-Owner and Marketing Director of Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Florida, Robin went to work for CBS Radio in Orlando as an Account Manager. After several promotions during her tenure at CBS, she became a VP/Market Manager and was named U.S. Radio & Records “Market Manager of the Year” in 2003.

After Robin and her husband Jack moved to Cornelius, NC in mid-2003 to become the owners of Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, she took over as Marketing Director for the dealership, which quickly became the number one selling dealership in the Carolinas and has remained consistently successful. They purchased a second dealership in 2013, naming it Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and have steadily increased the location’s business and after extensive renovations.

Named one of the 2005 “Women to Watch” – Business Leaders Helping to Shape the Golden Crescent by Business Today Magazine, Robin has been honored several times in the local business community for her success in business, as well as her commitment to the community. She was named “2013 Woman of the Year” by the Make-a-Wish Foundation and W.I.S.H. (Women Inspiring Strength and Hope) Society for Charlotte, NC and most recently, they named the “Robin Smith Salzman Power of a Wish” award in her honor, for her contributions and dedication to the organization.

Robin believes strongly in utilizing her success to give back to the community through local organizations including Least of These Carolinas, the Humane Society of Charlotte, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Holy Angels. She currently sits on the board of Stand for Animals, a local organization dedicated to providing affordable spay/neuter and health care for animals-saving thousands of lives.

In addition to her business and philanthropic commitments, Robin enjoys spending time with her family—she and her husband Jack have three children, eight grandchildren, and five dogs.
